Christianity in Sarajevo has its roots in far-far history.

Here we are about to mention only the major monuments of this, one of the major world religions.

First on the list, Cathedral of Sacred Jesus Heart. The most representative monument of Christianity in Sarajevo.

Second, the St. Cyril and Methodius Church with the Catholic Theological Seminary, designed by Josip Vancaš, dedicated to Cyril and Methodius and consecrated in 1896. Beautiful.

The Institute of St. Augustine, once with the main purpose of camaraderie, a house for social and spiritual protection of sisters who cared for the old and weak or served as domestic help.

After World War II, this school and house were closed, and the building began to serve as a Music Academy, which it continues to do.

At Bistrik, one of the most popular residential ares in Sarajevo, next to the famous Sarajevo brewery, Franciscan Church of St. Anthony of Padua.
