Romanija is located east from Sarajevo and it is a spacious plateau with highest peak Veliki Lupoglav (1652 m a.s.l.). The name of the mountain is connected with former pesence of cattle-breeders, roma Vlasi. Its main characteristic is large rocky barrier with some parts named like Ravna, Orlova, Crvena, Crna, Djevojačka and Velika stijena.

In these rocks there are several rock-climbing directions from easiest to the hardest. Before the war, at Romanija was held, every year regularly during the autumn (SSRC – Sarajevo School of Rock Climbing) organised by the Mountanieering Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Across Romanija before were three transverse hiking trails, and today, except the rock-climbing directions, it is not interesting for some special tours or excursions, only the visit to Novakova cave in Velika Stijena, belvedere at Crvena stijena and cave Orlovača. Near Mokro there is an extraoridinary speloeogical structure, cave Orlovača which belongs to the biggest and most beautiful cave systems in B&H. Cave is rich in ornaments made of stalagmites and stalactites together with fragmenst of corall and aragonite ornaments and cave pillars, which look like renaissance castels of various colorite.

Cave interior is encriched by numerous petrified waterfalls as well as gypsum baths of different sizes filled with water.

More than 16000 years ago, in Orlovača lived cave bear (Ursus speleus). Today it is habitat for one of the most endangered mammal species in Europe – the bat (Microc hipoptrea). The cave is not completely explored and one part of it (approx.600 m)is adopted for tourist visits and sightseeing.
