Šiš Ćevap

Šiš simply means wand (small wooden stick), so Šiš ćevap is basically ćevap placed on the wand. Mostly used meat is beef, which is sliced to small pieces, with onion again sliced and with spices such as: salt, pepper, paprika etc.

Than, layer by layer, first meat than onion is being layered on the wand, which is approximately 15 cm long. Later once the Šiš's have been placed in the pot and spices (alevi pepper, pepper, etc.) added, it is being cooked on the light fire.

You can serve it with rice or cooked potato.

Sometime on the wands, alongside the meat and onion, it is possible to mix carrot and chicken.

Šiš ćevap is really local delicacy.
