We think the best way to understand party culture in Sarajevo is to explain where to part on the certain day in the week.

Please note - Every single of the places listed below can be visited everyday of the week, but what we list here is VISIT SARAJEVO choice. - Under every club, which organizes some events there is Events tab, where you can see the most up to date events organized there. - Our No.1 Picks are UPPERCASE lettered, and number two/three/four are lowercase.

SUNDAY

Since it comes after the Saturday (the best day for going out in Sarajevo) it will be little hard to find couple of places that are live on Sunday nights, but we give our best and reccommend you:

CITY PUB (Type: Chilling; Music: Pop;) – place basically for everyday going out, since it is a pure pub.

Beer, nice chat is what you will find here, with a decent quality. Not a pure party place on Sunday.

Cheers Pub – new open pub, which is a place for good beer, perhaps some live music (see Events tab for this place), nice talk with a friends or people you just met.

Hacienda - a Mexican Restaurant on the upper floor, on the lover, place on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday night turned into something between club and discotheque.

Barhana - most most definitely place worth trying on the boring Sunday nights.

MONDAY

Honestly the first place you should visit on Monday, in case you like salsa dancing, is CLUB CINEMA (EX.SLOGA), two floor club – It is an organized salsa dancing night, but one part of the club is saved for those lazy dancer. No need to worry, a little bit of everything for everyone.

Hacienda is one of the “pretty live” places you would want to see, and bee on the Monday Night.

City Pub, nice pace to it on Monday night, since it is one of the hottest places in Sarajevo, so everyday there is something nice to see.

Pravda Lounge Bar and Resto – place made in very nice design, offers nice amount of first class made cocktails, variety of vines, almost every night organized events. Worth trying.

The Mash Club – place just near the National Theatre, nice for evening chilling.

TUESDAY

BARHANA is a place where you could have a great Italian food, a variety of Rakija, beer, nice atmosphere. Actually this place we recommend for everyday out, so not a bad idea to see it on a different day.

Dibek – place that gives you the feel how did the Ottomans used to live. Nice low minderi (low couch), sweet drinks, Bosnian coffee, wind, Shisha. What else could you want.

Barka – if you like sea themed bars, this one will be your right pick. Nice interior make you fell nice.

City Pub – place basically for everyday going out, since it is a pure pub. Beer, nice chat is what you will find here, with a decent quality. Not a pure party place on Tuesday.

During the summer nights Central Cafe is place on the main café street in Sarajevo and it can be crowded. Take a look.

WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday night in Sarajevo we recommend you visiting JEŽ, a place where only on Wednesday night there is special kind of live local music (turbo folk), performed by the live orchestra, trumpeters. Nice event, where they will play local Balkan music. Place for total party.

Also try for chilling night at City Pub, Cheers, Barhana, Pravda, or Hacienda.

Also we strongly recommend you to take look at our Events Calendar under section Going Out, and see if something special is being organized on the Wednesday night.

THURSDAY

Thursady night is one of the busiest day of the week in Sarajevo, so for this day first we recommend CINEMA CLUB (EX.SLOGA) where there is a live music, and large quantity of people.Perfect place for a long dancing night. And dancing, and dancing….

Another place worth visiting is The Club (among locals know as Bičakčić). It is a discotheque, most probably on Thursday night they will organize something live. Check it up under Events tab of The Club (or any other place) to see what is going on.

Also Pravda Lounge is place worth visiting on Thursday night since DJ will be playing. Cocktail is not a bad idea to try there. Hacienda will offer you good time, since in the Thursday night it turns out to discotheque and live performers will make your night.

City Pub is also one of the places, altogether with Cheers Pub, Barka, Pirates, Havana where there is lot of people around. For lighter version try one of these.

FRIDAY

Friday Night is pretty similar to Thursday, so aside The Club, Pravda, Hacienda, City Pub, we would gladly add, Central Café, Barhana, especially Pirates Bar (small place of Turbo Folk music), Mash, Ort café. They are all good places to spend a Friday evening in Sarajevo.

SATURDAY

Saturday night is a best day to go out in Sarajevo. Every club is crowded place, every place is alive, and worth visiting. Here we only mention those most attractive.

After you took a walk through the city, old town – Baščaršija, we suggest:  try Barhana, good Italian kitchen, variety of Bosnia and Herzegovina most popular alcohol drink, Rakija, nice atmosphere, easy going, good people. Why not.

Afterwards, put it to the next level of partying, you can give a try to Central Café, City Pub, Cheers Pub, Pravda, Pirates, Havana, Barka, Mash Club, or Opera.

The final level of hard partying in the Saturday night should be one of these, first, Hacienda, Jež Club, THE CLUB or Cinema Club (ex.Sloga).
