Barice are beautiful area just eight kilometers away from Sarajevo (easily reachable by public transport, Mini Bus line 64 from Main Park, ONLY ON WEEKENDS at 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00) totally meant to be for people loving parks, mountains, picnics, bbq's in the open areas, and are one of the most popular outing spots of Sarajevo inhabitants.

Should you desire to do some hiking, marked trails all over Barice and Čavljak are there to make sure you do not get lost.

During the weekends the area is full of people so perhaps the best time of visiting if you like peaceful nature are working days. 

At the highest top, at Čavljak there is a mountain house, where you can have some good domestic food, quality tea, or some info if needed.

HOW TO GET THERE BY FOOT

The best way to get there by foot is to follow the Street order:

 
1. Start from Presidency House and get the Streets: DŽIDŽIKOVAC - BJELAVE - BARDAKČIJE - SEDRENIK - PAŠINO BRDO

2. Start from Old Town Baščaršija: KOVAČI - PLOČA - BAKIJE SOKAK - SEDRENIK - PAŠINO BRDO
