Major Bosnia and Herzegovina airport is located in Sarajevo, which yearly accommodate less than 1 million visitors, what makes it not the biggest airport, where arrival and departure is not a big problem.
The airport is located around 12 km away from city center and unfortunately since there is no direct public transport line Airport - City Center, people are forced to use TAXI, or combined public transport.
Taxi ride will take you around 20 min, depending on the traffic, to reach the old part of Sarajevo, Baščaršija, other than that less.
Also TAXI drivers can be very tricky, and will most probably some time try to overcharge, we suggest these tips & tricks to follow in order to avoid being ripped off.
From Airport to City Center by Public Transport

One option is to use direct line of public transport: Airport - Baščaršija, with timetables:

Another option is to use Trolley Bus.
After you exit the main airport entrance, you will be on the street Kurta Schorka, the best option is to move left for about 100 meters and turn a first right, to a street Braće Mulića.
Follow the Braće Mulića street for about 8 - 10 minutes of walk by turning the right and heading toward the Merkator shopping mall, where just before the center there is Trolley Bus stop, for lines 107 and 103, which should get you to city center.
Do not be confused because the street Braće Mulića on the second traffic lights will change name to Bulevar Mimara Sinana, you are still on the right path.
Ticket price for a trolley bus is 1,80, and prepare some small change.
